How many people do you have helping? I did my whole house, 3 is really the minimum to make it not-a-horrible-experience. Two of you snapping all the shit together (you have a mallet at least right? and one of those crowbar-ish pull bars are a god send) and another person to grab tools, planks, extra set of hands, etc.

Yeah this was a mistake. My dad helped me yesterday and we got in a few rows with lots of cursing and prying, but doing it by myself today it looks bad. None of the seams are lining up. You basically need one person to be and paperweight while you struggle with the next board.

none of the seams are lining up or they all have gaps? You need the mallet to get it done in any reasonable amount of time, tap lightly on the edge while rocking it into place. I bought the clearance crap from home depot, it looks seamless (ignoring the pattern of course) when you get it in there good

So, this is snap-in; so it is floating, I assume? Or are you using adhesive too? What’s underneath? Do you have dead spots in the floor due to unevenness? We just redid all our floors in hardwood. Even the professional had problems. Floors are never trivial. The people on HGTV are just paid to make it look like fun.

Yeah, floating. Every piece is a struggle. Wife wanted to save a few bucks doing the install ourselves. I’ve had many, many labor jobs, including installation, but I explained to her: I HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS EVER. But oh, look, it’s so easy on the videos! And it comes with instructions that don’t really make sense or have photos! These do not just snap in easy as pie. You basically wedge them together and flex them until they’re passable.

And you want to get a decent fit so things don’t move on you too much because there is no glue to hold it. At least it looks like you have plywood underneath from your pic so you won’t get the same hollow spots I have in the concrete.

If you have a handyman or installer you trust, it’s never too late to call in the cavalry. Seriously. Some things are worth the cash. It’s not that they’ll do it better, necessarily. It’s more that you won't have to. Either way, I wish you luck, Brother.
